Starts Of Track and Field
Here is an awesome, slightly unheard of band called "Stars Of Track And Field". I have seen these guys a couple times in Portland and they are red hot! A super intense ballad alternative that breaks the classic, ever painful, moaning Portland alternative music. Check out the tracks "Movies of Antarctica", a power rock ballad, and "Arithmatik" an original beat-rock jam. Check these songs out off of their album "Centuries Before Love and War". I met the guys a couple of years ago and they were great guys, super humble. I think, with one slightly revolutionary album, these guys could be huge.

New Venue in SE Portland!!!!
Finally, a new venue in Portland! The Hawthorne Theatre and Satyricon have been fun, but its time for a new punk- rock club in Portland, in a place that isn't so grim and thats where "The Woods" comes in. This 80 seat (120 standing) house is perfect for packed house performances, preferably rock and punk rock. They are fully open and operating out of an ex- crematorium (yes where they burn dead people) but don't worry. Everything in this venue is more then living, its booming. For you old fogie adults, there is expensive wine for you to waste your money on and a very nice restaurant. Look for cover charges to be around $7-8 on a weekend. Hey im Eli. I really love music and im in a band called Meet Your Monster and im having the time of my life rocking out.
